  Avoid this church!! I’ve probably visited 40+ different churches in my life and this was by far the least welcoming and judgmental community I’ve had the misfortune to experience. I accepted an invitation to visit from a parishioner here and went in hopeful. But because they are such a tiny mission who stands the whole time, guests stick out like a sore thumb. Before the service could even end I was confronted and thrown out. Apparently I made the sign of the cross incorrectly in their eyes and was subsequently accused of being a catholic (worse than a dog from what I could gather). Which is beyond bigoted, exhibiting poor catechesis and historical ignorance. That aside, it’s not a reason to mistreat visitors just for making simple mistakes that don’t conform to their rigorist views. These people clearly suffer from some form of fundamentalism and their reputation certainly precedes them for it. At the door, these thugs had the nerve to threaten legal blackmail for my silence and told me to never come back. They claim I was uninvited but I have a screenshot that proves otherwise, if they wish to carry out those threats. All this was totally uncalled for and unprovoked. I’ve never witnessed such hostility/intimidation at a church before, let alone experience it. It actually felt more like an exclusive cult than welcoming community here and that’s sad to see. Please do yourself a favor and look for a church home elsewhere. And maybe pray for these people, it’s clear they need it

  If you're curious about Orthodoxy, St. Katherine's is a good place to start. Very welcoming! Bring your kids!
